Yes. Under our partnership with Maikai, your business will pay no training costs. The standard programme cost is fully covered through a combination of UK Government SME funding (which covers up to 95–100% of the training cost) and Maikai, who covers any remaining co-investment balance.

To qualify for fully funded training applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • UK Residency: Must have been a UK, EU, or EEA citizen living in the UK continuously for at least the past 3 years.
  • PAYE Employment: Employed via PAYE payroll. Self-employed individuals and freelancers are not eligible for this funding.
  • 30 Hours Per Week: Must work a minimum of 30 hours per week (equivalent to at least 4 full working days).
  • Support protected learning time
  • Attend progress reviews at months 3, 6 and 9
  • Help identify suitable workplace projects
  • Encourage application of learning in the workplace

Learning activity is undertaken during working hours, but much of it can be linked directly to their role and organisational priorities.

Typically, an apprentice spends around 6 hours per week on new learning and applying skills in the workplace however, training days and apprenticeship courses account for the majority of the 6 hour per week target.

Off-the-job training includes learning activities that develop knowledge, skills and behaviours beyond day-to-day duties. Example are training sessions, project work, workshops, research and coaching.

Apprentices will attend training in 2-day blocks via Microsoft Teams, every 4-8 weeks. The training sessions usually run from 9am to 4:30pm. You will receive a training schedule with all planned dates within the first two weeks of induction.

Apprenticeship programmes range from 12-14 months and lead to a nationally recognised qualification; designed to build deep expertise and create sustainable talent pipelines.

No. This programme is specifically designed for team members in established businesses who have an employer or line manager to support their learning hours. Candidates must be on PAYE employment.
